WebmasteringAn introductory course in webmastering. Students are introduced to the Internet and the World Wide Web while learning HTML, a computer language used to create web pages. Students learn to create web pages by writing their own HTML and eventually move to using a web authoring program. In addition, students also work with digital photography, computer graphics, and animation in order to enhance web design. Webmastering is for students interested in computers, technology, art, and design. Good communication/ English and organizational skills are needed. Creativity is always a plus.

CommunicationsAlthough not officially a course, this is an option some Web II students prefer. This avenue allows a few students to apply what they learned in Web I, such as computer graphics, digital photography, and composition to the real world. These students assist in editing the Junior High portion of the District's website and in organizing, composing, and editing the "Westwood Happenings", a special section in the Sunday issue of the Palestine Herald Press for the area schools to highlight accomplishments and inform the parents and community of current events on our campus. This opportunity is only available to second year web students who have shown responsibility, a good work ethic, have good organizational and English skills, and creativity.
