Art Rocks!

Students designed and assembled guitars that were to reflect their interests and personality. Our theme was "Art Rocks!" It was a project enjoyed by all!

Paper Mache

The art students are building their armatures, or skeletons, for their paper mache sculptures. These students are beginning theirs with a balloon base.

Under the Sea

Art students, Lurenza H, And Dekedrick H., help hang paper fish in the hallway. As part of their unit on the design principles, students worked in groups to design a "school" or group of fish emphasizing the principals unity and variety. Design is known as the language of art.

Between the Moon and You

Rachel G., Alexus A., and Katie P., display their coffee compositions, a project using two unusual mediums, coffee and cardboard. The students were given a theme, "Between the Moon and You", and had to include leaves and the moon. Because the students have been studying design, each project had to use the design principals: unity, movement, repetition, balance, emphasis, and variety.

Web Students Learn Macromedia Fireworks

Following a tutorial on the basic tools in Macromedia Fireworks, students made their own photomontage based on a quote, verse, or passage. J. "Dizzle" is working on one based on the Green Bay Packers.
